From the top of my head I’d say Take me to church, (when I was) 7 years old (?), coldplay, imagine dragons, avicii Hey brother… There’s a huge amount of pop music that is sad lyrics to cheerful music, and probably you are missing on some gems hidden in the albums. If you only hear to the radio for pop but you are a metalhead with experience in the genre maybe you are not being fair to both genres. If you want some nice “rock” voices maybe try Pink, or Cher, Roxanne too… And for fluffy metal: twisted sister, disturbed, amaranthine …
